In 2018, Laine and Janet, two Louisiana natives with over 30 years of full-time ministry experience, stumbled upon a local farm in Michigan that opened its beautiful barn full of Christmas goodies to the public for few weekends each holiday season. For their family of eight, it became a beloved tradition. During one visit, Laine shared with Janet his belief that she would one day have her own shop. As a certified wedding floral designer with her own business, designing a beautiful barn and turning it into a shop would be a dream come true for her. When they moved back to Louisiana to be closer to family, Laine built their new home next to his parents' on the family farm. After completing the house, Laine began work on the barn, determined to make Janet's dream a reality. The result was not just any barn, but a stunning space that would not only house Janet's shop but also serve as a gathering place for the community! In 2021 they added the Sawyer Cabin to be able to host events year round! If you're searching for a  venue to host your next family, church, or corporate event, look no further than our Sawyer Cabin! Our venue is available for events throughout the year, and we would be thrilled to get to know you. Come visit us during our Fall and Christmas Shop and discover all that our venue has to offer.

​In 2025, we added a beautiful new pavilion to the Red Truck Barn as a way to welcome more couples and guests to celebrate life’s biggest moments on the farm. Overlooking our peaceful horse pasture and pond, the pavilion was built with weddings, reunions, and special gatherings in mind. What began as a dream to expand our event space has become a favorite spot for ceremonies, receptions, and family events — blending rustic charm with modern comfort in the heart of the countryside.
